Steve Norman is a management consultant specializing in project and program management, change management, systems implementation, and marketing. As a member of the consulting staff at Acquis Consulting Group, Steve helps to drive results for Fortune 500 companies, private global organizations, and select mid-market leaders through tailored services and cross-functional expertise, approaching challenges with a deep analytical and human perspective.
Prior to joining Acquis, Steve held a position as Assistant Vice President within Citigroup's Institutional Clients Group. Here, he worked with the Anti-Money Laundering Compliance and Product Risk management team in the design and implementation of a global, enterprise-wide Know Your Customer (KYC) technology solution. This was a truly global program, spanning over 90 countries and all segments of the bank. His responsibilities included gathering, interpreting and communicating business requirements from senior managers representing key stakeholder groups across the globe. He was also responsible for developing project plans, and tracking key milestones and deliverables for the program. In addition, he designed process flow diagrams and developed process and procedure documents, supported the development of a data migration strategy for the project, and acted as subject matter expert on the existed and future-state systems.
Prior to his role as Assistant Vice President, Steve represented the program management team during a global AML/KYC system enhancement initiative. His responsibilities were broad in scope, but generally included gathering business requirements for and supporting the implementation of enhancements to this regulatory compliance-driven system. During his time he developed three business requirements documents and supported the user acceptance testing and implementation of these requirements. As subject matter expert, he acted as liaison between senior business stakeholders, compliance and technology to ensure the requirements were appropriately captured and implemented. He also gained significant exposure to AML/BSA and KYC regulations, as well as experience with OCC regulations. In addition, Steve played integral role in implementing two AML transaction monitoring processes.
Steve first joinied Citigroup, inc. in 2009 in New Castle, DE. In this role, he managed multiple process automation and process improvement projects and provided critical management support. He also participated in many organizations at his site including the diversity council, the training team, and the Process Improvement Initiative.
Stephen graduated in May 2009 with a 3.51 GPA from the University of Delaware's Lerner College of Business and Economics with a concentration in Marketing and Management Information Systems. Here, he was a member of the Blue Hen Marketing Club and the Dickenson Community Council. He was also elected Vice President of the Men's Crew Team, and earned the title of MVP his senior year.
During the summer of 2008, Stephen held a marketing internship with Brave New Markets, Inc, a full service marketing company in Owings Mills, MD. He was responsible for SEO and SEM for a major client. He participated in site visits and meeting with senior management in order to better understand the clients needs. In addition to establishing and improving a successful pay-per-click campaign using Google Adwords, he improved the company websites Google Pagerank and optimized their organic search results. By utilizing his knowledge of HTML and Microsoft Expressions, he was able to transform the company website from a couple of pages of text to a multi-dimensional, interactive website.
