Stephen D. Norman

Stephen currently works as an operations analyst for Citigroup in New Castle, DE.  His responsibilities include records management, entitlement reviews, continuity of business testing, and other various vital risk and controls support functions in electronic file services, a department within Citi's Global Transaction Services. In 2009, he also spent time supervising and conducting quality audits for a government program.

Stephen recently graduated with a 3.51 GPA from the University of Delaware's Lerner College of Business and Economics with a concentration in Marketing and Management Information Systems. Here, he was a member of the Blue Hen Marketing Club and the Dickenson Community Council. He was also elected Vice President of the Men's Crew Team, and earned the title of MVP his senior year.

During the summer of 2008, Stephen worked as a marketing intern for Brave New Markets, Inc, a full service marketing company in Owings Mills, MD. He was responsible for SEO and SEM for a company client. He participated in site visits and meeting with senior management in order to better understand the clients needs. In addition to establishing and improving a successful pay-per-click campaign using Google Adwords, he improved the company websites Google Pagerank and optimized their organic search results. By utilizing my knowledge of HTML and Microsoft Expressions, he was able to transform the company website from a couple of pages of text to a multi-dimensional, interactive website.

Stephens time at Brave New Markets, Inc. provided valuable experience in developing a well-rounded marketing campaign. He was involved in developing a corporate identity package to help the a company client establish better recognition and exposure within their industry. He also assisted in designing and acquiring promotional items, developed content for the company brochure, and helped organize a tradeshow appearance which included booth design and acquisition, a promotional contest and a pre- and post-show campaign.

In the summer of 2006 and 2007, Stephen worked as an E-bay store manager for a machinery sales company based in Baltimore, MD. His responsibilities included building and maintaining an E-bay store which brought over $50,000 in revenue, and is currently still thriving. He also created and implemented an access database containing over 3000 pieces, which helped organize the company inventory and improve efficiency.

Stephen's previous experience also includes two years at Lens Crafters working as an optometric technician, and three years in customer service at Baskin Robbins.
